There isn’t an inkling of innovative thinking in the third installment of the 1920 series. The best thing that can be said about it is that it will remain one of the year’s funniest films. As for the daayan, her story is too flimsy. She could’ve found a better script on prime time and after this disaster of a film, she should really consider a career shift

Even though 1920 LONDON’s story (Vikram Bhatt) treads on the same path of fear as its earlier two films, this film does have comparatively more novelty value than the earlier two films. On the whole, 1920 LONDON is an engrossing fare with the right amount of eerie and scary moments. It has its ample share of terrifying moments that one expects from a film about supernatural forces. It has the potential to appeal to all sections of audiences at the box-office.

Hats off for at least the ambition €” and there are plenty of those to doff, this being early England and all. Few films, fewer still with the limited scale of a Vikram Bhatt horror, swing as frequently between 1920 London and 1920 €œsomewhere in Mewar, Rajasthan€ €” on streamers no less. An infinitesimal number, hopefully, do so chasing an €œaatma€ that resides in a locket.

While the film had a good twist post interval, it wasnt that surprising. The twist was almost predictable since we knew the flashback sequences of Shivangi and Jays past will definitely have some role to play in the proceedings. The film follows a very formulaic and predictable pattern after that twist scene. Except for the gender reversal, as here the wife is saving the husband, the plot is almost similar to the first 1920 film. The conclusion also lacked the required impact, that you expect from a horror thriller. Needless to say, the latest entry in the 1920 series disappoints big time, with Sharman Joshi being the only saving grace. Watch the film only if you dont have anything else to do.

You should give this one a miss! This is a film that uses every trick in the book and still fails to scare you. Only the really, really weak-hearted could get scared of this! 1920 London is the third instalment of the franchise and I hope the last one. A complete failure in scaring, startling or even racing your hearts for that matter. I am going with a 1.5/5 for the film.

1920 London the third instalment in the 1920 series by producer Vikram Bhatt, exhausts every cliche that has been regurgitated in Bollywood love stories. Corny dialogues such as €œwe will live together and die together€ and sappy songs with lovers dancing around in picturesque locations will make you nauseous. While the first few scenes in which the evil spirit unleashes her fury are startling, it gets tiring.
