You need a strong stomach to absorb this one€¦ A gut-wrenching story of two terrorists/suicide bombers from across the border, it focuses on their dilemmas and inner conflicts. Director SanjayPuranSinghChauhan – who won a NationalAward for this film – chooses an unconventional plot, extracts fantastic performances [PavanMalhotra, AamirBashir, RasheedNaz] and incorporates several captivating sequences/lines in this 80-minute film. Watch it for the powerful message it communicates.

“72 Hoorain” skillfully draws inspiration from the events occurring in our surroundings and the world at large, constructing a narrative that captivates the audience. The black and white aesthetics of the film enhance the portrayal of the protagonist’s lost souls, while the use of red colour in balloons, umbrellas, and clothing, makes you wonder whether inspiration is drawn from Steven Spielberg’s iconic film, “Schindler’s List.” This film effectively delivers a powerful impact through its exploration of the manipulation of ordinary individuals in the context of terrorism.

The special thing about this film for cinema lovers is that you will enjoy black-and-white cinema with great VFX. You don’t get to see most of the film in black and white. This was a perfect idea for the wandering souls. Talking about acting, Pawan Malhotra and Aamir Bashir have done a great job. The entire film revolves around both the actors and both the actors have raised the bar of the film with their stellar performances.

72 Hoorain tries its best to provoke sentiments on the sensitive issue of terrorism and the impact of its manipulation. However, the film fails to make an impact on its audience, thanks to a poor background score, loosely-written storyline, subpar VFX, and horrible acting by the supporting cast.
