The romance in the film is far from heartwarming. Emotions fail to touch the heart. Truly entertaining light moments are few and far between. On the whole, Do Aur Do Pyaar is too dull to create an impact. Given its poor start on the one hand and weak promotion on the other, it may remain a non-starter.

Humans are strange creatures. They long for what they don’t have, and when they do get it, they don’t want it any more. This is the premise, and for a Bollywood movie, it’s new enough. Rekindling banked embers can be a thing. Again, something not done to death in our rom coms. When these strands are playing out, the film has a satisfactory sting, but it makes us wait for those bits.

Do Aur Do Pyaar falters with its uneven pacing, especially in the latter half. Despite this, the stellar performances, humour-infused script, and beautiful visuals make it a watchable romantic comedy.

Do Aur Do Pyaar is a poignant exploration of love, betrayal, and redemption within the complexities of modern relationships. With stellar performances, adept direction, and a compelling narrative, the film offers a thought-provoking reflection on the challenges and triumphs of sustaining love in the face of adversity.

A trip to Kavya’s home town ignites nostalgic memories of the couple’s thrilling, whirlwind courtship; radically the film sees their struggles not simply as individual failure but an extension of cultural differences and familial angst. While excelling in visual terms, some of the dialogue is sketchy: one pivotal argument between Kavya and Ani, for instance, culminates in sputterings that shed little light on the pair’s disillusionment. Nevertheless, Balan’s assured performance, in which her character speaks frankly about abortion and sexual pleasure, is an impressive avatar of modern Indian womanhood.

If you want to watch a light-hearted comedy, head to theatres and check out this Vidya Balan-Pratik Gandhi film that has the couple cheating on their affair partners with their spouses. It’s fun and will make you laugh. It will help you forget your worries for at least 2 hours.

The chemistry between Vidya and Pratik Gandhi is so natural and beautiful to watch. Especially their drunken dance on Bin Tere Sanam amidst a funeral is just too good. Yes, Pratik Gandhi can dance too! Ileana D’cruz as Nora has a decent role to play. Sendhil Ramamurthy plays Vikram. He is a famous photographer who finds his muse in Kavya and he suits the role well. There is enough of comedy to tickle your funny bones. The first half of the film will make you laugh hard. The bits and parts of the film will drive you down the nostalgia lane and remember your first crazy love.

Do Aur Do Pyaar doesn’t discredit either yet denies them a fullness of character, which prevents us from investing as one otherwise would. Though his inflections are more Gujju than Bong, Pratik Gandhi’s emotional range makes him a treat to watch in project after project.
