DreamGirl2 is a joyride, its sole funda is to entertain€¦ Has it all: Witty one-liners, cleverly-crafted situations, well-timed jokes and dollops of humour€¦ A worthy second instalment.

Ayushmann Khurrana does a splendid job as Karam/Pooja. He gives his cent per cent to the character and evokes a lot of laughter with his brilliant acting. Ananya Panday hardly gets any scope or worthwhile role. She is okay as Pari. Paresh Rawal does a fine job as Abu Saleem. Annu Kapoor is outstanding in the role of Karams father, Jagjit. On the whole, Dream Girl 2 is an entertaining fare and will keep the audience and all parties concerned with the film happy.

On the whole, DREAM GIRL 2 works due to the plot, extremely funny scenes, commercial treatment, and performances, especially that of Ayushmann Khurrana. At the box office, it has the potential of scoring big time with its target audience.

Dream Girl 2 relies on familiar territory, often straying into unnecessary comedic tangents. Despite some standout performances and moments, the film falls short of recreating the quirky charm of its predecessor.

Dream Girl 2 has to make frequent visits to the toilet to get his oranges in place as he repeatedly transitions between genders. If only the makers, out to cash in on the success of 2019’s Dream Girl, knew their onions better, the meagre amount of juice that they extract from an idea that has been wrung thin would have been tangier, if nothing else.

On the whole, the overall experience of watching Pooja in her true element getting caught up in some crazy situations is quite fun. The jokes and gags (the Gadar 2 and BTS reference) are witty and some are downright funny. Ayushmann is why you will go to watch the film in the first place and he doesnt disappoint. Watch Dream Girl 2 cause its silly and funny and a chuckle and some good laughter in a theatre never hurt anyone

In conclusion, Dream Girl 2 fails to ring our dil ka telephone. And even when a scene comes close, it turns out to be a wrong number. We are going with 1.5 stars for this one but Ayushmann deserves the additional 0.5 rating.

Its frenetic and politically incorrect, sometimes very funny, often on the nose, and delivered with the despair of a filmmaker who doesnt want anybody in the audience to sneak a look at their cellphones. But you might, nevertheless, when the joke begins to wears thin. What might have been a lengthy episode on Comedy Circus or The Kapil Sharma Show of which Shaandilyaa is an alumnus begins to run out of juice, which no amount of oranges can fix.
