Pastor David Hill is always trying to help his community but feels there’s opposition everywhere he turns. In fact, the local women’s shelter just lost government funding merely because some of the women had a Bible study in the building. It seems like everywhere David looks, God is being erased and a godless, immoral secularism is replacing Christian, biblical values.
At the same time, a candidate running for congress, suddenly dies. His campaign team now is trying to figure out who can take his place. The campaign is more than a political race, however. That’s because the other main candidate, Peter Kane, is an atheist fundamentalist who wants to totally erase religion and Christianity from America.
When the campaign team sees a video of Pastor Hill saying society still needs to trust God, the team believes he would be a good fit to run for Congress. They call their top strategist, Lottie, to help Pastor Hill get ready for the race. The problem is, Lottie has left politics to raise her son. Also, Lottie was burned out by the hardship and cutthroat nature of politics.
Finally, Lottie agrees to help Pastor Hill, who strongly believes it’s morally important to get into the race and fight for everything that’s good, true and beautiful. Even so, his opponent, Mr. Kane, is a really tough cookie, and Kane’s campaign manager is the same person Lottie wanted to avoid, Wesley.
With the women’s shelter thinking it must shut down and Peter Kane fighting hard for atheism, Pastor Hill sees that winning the race will be a challenging, difficult endeavor.
Will the good triumph? Will God be erased from the American culture, politics, education, and entertainment?
