HATE STORY-2 director Vishal Pandya amalgamates passionate love making scenes and high-voltage drama in the premise of the new installment, but, at the same time, also makes sure he narrates a new story with the revenge angle. The post-interval portions maintain the grip, but the loose ends do show up intermittently. On the whole, HATE STORY-2 is a riveting saga of a woman’s vendetta against the man who wronged her. Additionally, the combo of skin show and melodious music add tremendous value to the project. This film has the potential to woo the masses and the youth, thus springing a big surprise at the ticket window!

Hate Story 2 is a revenge drama on the lines of Rakesh Roshan’s Khoon Bhari Maang and Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill movies. What it lacks is an A-grade star cast. Also, this one is slightly more predictable in pattern. However, the doses of erotica added to the screenplay just to give it that gleeful taste work well. So, even if the plot points in this vendetta drama seem asinine, with Surveen, Sunny and s** thrown in, the less pretentious will go home satiated.

Unlike the Paoli Dam-starrer prequel Hate Story, this one is not high on s**. All you have is Sunny Leone’s item song Pink Lips so weirdly forced into the plot that it looks like an advertisement. You can watch the film only if you are a die-hard fan of Sushant or Surveen, because nothing else is really worth the time and money.

Under any other circumstances, I would have protested but this second one, directed by Vishal Pandya, in the Hate series is as gutless, brainless, soulless and s**less as the first. Forget logic, novelty or dynamism, Pandya’s film doesn’t even possess the sentimentality to produce a singular moment of sympathy for its supposedly battered heroine. Chawla’s transformation from a strange, stuttering victim to a gun totting avenging angel dodging cops, goons and press is preposterous. A stale plot with flatly executed scenes of retribution and a lacklustre leading lady; Hate Story 2 is too trivial to be erotic or thrilling.

Although, there has been many films based on revenge, Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali’s Hate Story 2 offers a fresh presentation with some sizzling romance and freaking brutality. All in all, the film Hate Story 2 can be a good watch for its exotic romance and thrilling revenge. All in all, its not a bad film. Which also means that it could have been lot better given that it has a decent plot to fall back on.

Hate Story 2 takes the basic elements of s** and violence from the first film and amplifies it five fold to tell an engaging story. We wish the writers would have paid some more attention to developing the story rather than just using s** and violence to take the plot ahead. Once Surveen gets the ball rolling there’s no stopping the onslaught of killing. Also her make up and outfits look a bit jarring in a few frames. If you want to be tiltated and seduced into watching a woman oriented revenge drama with lots of skin show and a Sunny Leone item song, then Hate Story 2 is the ticket to buy.

The high-point of Hate Story was the sultry Bengali actress Paoli Dam. She stripped well, and wore her bare skin like a wounded badge of honour. And when she goes after her evil tormentor, we feel like egging her on, because we want to see him bite the dust. Because Dam channeled pain and anger with vigour. Hate Story 2€² has Surveen Chawla playing the woman-on-a-mission with visible effort but not as much impact.

The name Hate Story 2 calls for it hatred. The film that is essentially a revenge plot is a plodding story that lacks brains. Maintaining the hilarious lines of the prequel, the heavy breathing seductive talk has just gotten worse with this film. The lines are mere trash gems out of some B-grade movies of the past. I wasnt expecting thunderous work from the film but this film beats the bar of trashy that its prequel had set. If possible this one is worse! Avoid Hate Story 2; it is damp a show!
