Zachary Quinto’s character is a genetically superior version of Agent 47. He is also on the run from 47, initially. While the film lacks warmth, there’s plenty of Euro-camp action here. Police cars emblazoned with ‘Polizei’ in car chases down narrow streets and more gunfights than dialogues. The action is slick and indeed, very stylish. Don’t expect much from the script; you don’t watch a movie like Hitman while expecting Shakespearian prose delivered as shots are fired. Get your action fix here.

Hitman, which is based on the popular video game, pays too much importance to the way the iconic guns are placed. The interrogation room scene in the embassy has a weak hat-doff to Rorschach’s (from The Watchmen) famed “you’re locked in here with me” line. It ends like you’d expect, but the odds are too one-sided. And such a theme — unfeeling genetically enhanced human killers finding a heart — has become something of a trope by now.

However, while Smiths intentions seem straightforward, 47s remain tenuous. In his more imaginative moments, director Bach tries to give the film a narrative about free will and people changing their fate through their actions, through conversations between Katia and 47, but there is always somebody lurking around the corner to kill. – See more at: https://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/movie-review/hitman-agent-47-review/#sthash.Y8hwTcUB.dpuf
