The hunt for prey begins as Sony Pictures Sony Pictures (in association with Marvel) release the second official trailer for the upcoming superhero film Kraven the Hunter. View trailer below.

Kraven the Hunter is the visceral, action-packed origin story of how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays Kraven, a man whose complex relationship with his ruthless father, Nikolai Kravinoff (Russell Crowe), starts him down a path of vengeance with brutal consequences, motivating him to become not only the greatest hunter in the world, but also one of its most feared.

It’s been sometime since we last heard about this particular movie, especially with the writers / actor strike happening last summer and this movie was pulled from its intended theatrical release and delayed an entire year. So, finally, with all that said and done, the movie is now set to be released this year. This new trailer showcases plenty of new footage from the upcoming film and looks like to be a “bloody” and “visceral” film of action and thrills. This movie might even break the weak reception that Sony’s Spider-Man Universe has been plagued since its start. Let’s hope that it does and that this film proves to be quite effective.
