Liger fails to meet the expectations… An absolute waste of talent, resources and opportunity… #VijayDeverakonda deserved a better launch in #Hindi movies… This #Liger just doesn’t roar! #LigerReview

There is a scene in liger in which tanya the spoiled silly rich heroine experiences something unpleasant her immediate response is where’s my vodka which was exactly how i felt after watching this film and i don’t even drink .Liger is excruciating writer director puri jagannath finds that sweet spot between sloppy and cynical and he delivers a film so amateurish that it seems impossible to believe that this is a filmmaker with over two decades of experience

On the whole, Liger has a fairly good first half but not a matching second half and it will, therefore, not get the love of the public commensurate with the bigness of the film. It is a film mostly for the masses and the small centres.

Dont get me wrong. Theres nothing more pleasurable than a masala movie done right. But theres nothing new or fresh about the ingredients that go into the making of this film: mixed martial arts, snarling boxers, tough-as-nail trainers, and the hero who will pulp everyone single-handedly has been around of years. The plot, filled with all kinds of outlandish situations, is tired; the treatment is jaded. The poking-fun-at-the-guy who stutters is downright distasteful

Its ironic that Liger is asked to focus multiple times in the film, but the script itself lacks the same focus. Things just keep happening for no rhyme or reason and Puri fails to deliver a satisfactory conclusion to any of the tracks. Vijay deserved better, so did we. As the filmmakers promised, watt laga diya, but not in a good way.

Liger also joins the long list of films that blame women for men getting distracted. The film makes us question if the team spent ample time writing the script. If only Puri Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur and Karan Johar had set aside half of the time and money for the script instead of the promotions, Liger could have been a much better film. If only.

Overall, €œLiger€ neither delivers a knockout punch nor does it offer thundering moments. It only proves that Puri Jagannadh is yet to come to his old form despite delivering ‘iSmart Shakar’ recently.

On the whole, liger does not live up to the hype created. A wafer-thin storyline, Vijays stammering act, and rushed proceedings are basic drawbacks. But there are a few good mass moments and Vijays transformation which will be loved by the B and C center audience making this film a strictly passable watch. All we suggest you is to go in with fewer expectations.

Vijay Deverakonda’s performance in Liger makes it a worthy watch despite the routine drama of mother sentiment. The mother and son scenes are worth watching. Editing, screenplay, and music are not up to the mark. Verdict: Liger is predictable and lacks a tight screenplay

Liger is a missed opportunity. Vijay Devarakonda did all the hard work, and his screen presence and performance are very good. Director Puri Jagan has poorly executed the script and failed to put up engaging scenes. Vijay Fans and mass film lovers can try this film!
