You know his name, now learn his story as Disney and Pixar Studios releases the second official trailer for the upcoming animated film Lightyear. View trailer below.

The definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the hero who inspired the toy, “Lightyear” follows the legendary Space Ranger after he’s marooned on a hostile planet 4.2 million light-years from Earth alongside his commander and their crew. As Buzz tries to find a way back home through space and time, he’s joined by a group of ambitious recruits and his charming robot companion cat, Sox. Complicating matters and threatening the mission is the arrival of Zurg, an imposing presence with an army of ruthless robots and a mysterious agenda.

Oh wow…. I wasn’t expecting a second official trailer for this movie, but I do welcome it! This new trailer for the film showcases more of the feature’s narrative, with Buzz being a “man out of time”, which is probably why something like actor Chris Evans is a nice fit for the character (much like his character in the MCU). Plus, the film’s trailer shows off new characters in the movie as well as the antagonist of Zurg. In the end, I’m still quite excited to see how Lightyear will be received by critics and moviegoers and where the actual movie will go….to infinity…and beyond!
