Director Vikram Kumar took that old hit formula where in children help bring their estranged parents back together, a smart new screen writing twist by throwing in elements like destiny, romance, re-incarnation and humor. You cannot not appreciate the smarts in the script has been written, and how humorously it all gets translated onscreen without getting unduly melodramatic. But since this is ANR’s last film, the cumulative nostalgia and feel goodness of the movie might just paper over the structural issues. It’s definitely worth a watch.

The script of Manam works even if 3 generations of a family doesnt act in it. The rare opportunity of having a family of successful adult actors among three generations alive at one point of time made, the script of Manam work with double impact. Though the story is new, Manam is not an experiment. Its an entertainer with romantic comedy and a bit of heart-touching emotion. From a regular moviegoer point of view, I would love to have more gripping pre-climax scenes. I strongly recommend Manam film to everybody. Go and watch it. Its an entertainer!!!

, Manam is one-of-its-kind film in the history of Indian cinema. The director narrates a complex plot with simplicity. His film has emerged from a simple thought How would it be if human love is passed on from one life to another? But the way Vikram handled the plot shows his sheer genius. Though the plot is emotionally-charged, it does not overload you with an overdose of sentiments. On the other hand, it is an entertainer that keeps you smiling all along. Bottomline: A Feel Good Film

From word go, ‘Manam’ is a story filled with joy and rejoicing in reuniting with the lost ones.One of the best-written ones in recent times, this one is easily both intriguing and entertaining – something that is rare for a Telugu film. The film has to be enjoyed for its sublime moments and any Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham-like or some kind of a regular senti drama shouldn’t be expected. The characters have tears welling their eyes up, but the tears are more due to love rather than hurt. That’s the raison d’ etre of the film.Verdict: A complete entertainer that is more than a love story.

On the whole, very rarely does one get to see a beautiful film like Manam. It is perhaps the best gift that the Akkineni family has given to the legendary ANR. Right from the word go, Manam entertains you to the core. Be it ANR and Chaitanyas comedy scenes to Nag and Shriyas romance, this film has it all. Manam makes everyone sit right up, and puts Telugu cinema on to another pedestal. Go join the celebration with your entire family, and enjoy the feeling of togetherness.

Overall, Manam is a perfect family entertainer and it is director Vikram Kumar’s unique script that makes the movie a brilliant experiment. The movie is high on entertainment quotient and it is treat to see ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya together on screen. Don’t miss it this weekend.
