In The Lost Prince, writer-director Stephen Poliakoff brilliantly told an intimate family story, bolstered by a backdrop of palaces and oncoming war, and he explores many of the same themes (family, class, memory) to nearly as great effect in this poignant three-part drama. The seasoned cast members are a joy to watch particularly Michael Gambon as the slightly bonkers black sheep of the family despite dialogue thats occasionally overly mannered for the modern setting.
