SCHOOL OF MAGICAL ANIMALS is a German fantasy adventure movie. Ida is a new student at Winterstein School. Rejected by the other children, she befriends a lonely clumsy boy named Benni. SCHOOL OF MAGICAL ANIMALS is about a new girl at Winterstein School who befriends a lonely outcast at the school and helps him when the strange new teacher gives them magical talking animals and the boy is accused of stealing. Ida moves to Winterstein school. The once popular and contented girl is faced with rejection from her new classmates. She’s forced to team up with the school outcast, a lonely clumsy boy named Benni.

Things begin to look brighter when a new teacher, Miss Cornfield, arrives. She introduces the class to Mortimer Morrison, who searches the world looking for magical animals. Miss Cornfield assigns the first two magical animals to Ida and Benni. Ida is assigned a sly fox named Rabbat. Benni is entrusted with a very old and wise turtle, Henrietta. Both children begin to feel new hope, as the friendship grows between them and their new animal friends.

However, their optimism dims when Benni is accused of stealing items from Winterstein School. They must stick together to find the real thief.
