Very strong Christian, biblical, moral worldview, with scenes set in church showing characters praying and having discussions about faith (in in Episode One, for example boy tells his older sister they have to trust that things will work out with a horse, and that he will pray to God for answers), episodes feature storylines that show people helping each other such as members of the church volunteer to help look for Anna and Michael, and people stand up for and believe in each other, such as girl tells her mother that her physically handicapped younger brother is strong enough to attend school, as opposed to being homeschooled, due to his condition;

SHADRACH tells the story of a young girl named Anna who must adjust to a simpler life after her father loses his business. As she grows to love her grandparents’ rural life and her new horse, Shadrach, Anna learns lessons about life and faith.
Episode One introduces viewers to Anna’s family, including her parents and her brother, Michael, who has fanconi anemia, a genetic disorder that affects bone marrow. When Anna and Michael’s father loses his business, the family must leave the city and move to Spring Hill, a rural community where Anna’s grandparents live. Anna doesn’t want to move and is resistant to her new life, which includes a one-room school and church every Sunday.
One day, Anna accidentally stumbles onto a neighbor’s property and connects with a horse. The neighbor chases her off, but the horse keeps following Anna home. She names him Shadrach, and hates how mean the neighbor, Macleod, is to the horse. After her grandfather trades his motorcycle to their neighbor in exchange for Shadrach, Anna starts to warm up to her new life in the country.
In Episode Two, Anna is learning how to take care of and ride Shadrach. Anna and Michael’s grandpa teaches them how to ride together. Meanwhile, Anna’s mother looks for a job in town. The children’s grandpa decides to let them ride Shadrach down the road to their new house on their own. On the way there, Shadrach gets spooked by a plastic bag and takes off into the woods, eventually throwing off the kids.
Anna’s knee is hurt, and she and Michael are scared and unsure of what to do. Back at home, their parents and grandparents realize the children are missing and start looking for them. Anna and Michael figure out how to send a message home with Shadrach, who returns to the house and leads their grandpa into the woods where the kids are. Anna and Michael make it home safely. However, can they convince their parents to let Michael keep riding Shadrach?
