TAKE IT EASY HINDI MOVIE REVIEW

Ratings:1.5/5 Review By:  Rahul Desai  Site:Mumbai Mirrror

There’s more heart on paper than in this tedious on-screen execution. Apart from contrived events that lead to this needless race, the film attempts to touch upon a relevant problem. It explores, through interlinked stories of two 10-year-old classmates, psyches of modern-day parents and their endless quest for their kids’ excellence. Just like cinematic villains verbally spell out their master plans, children in this movie seem to be completely self-aware. Perhaps this same movie with teenagers would have made more sense. Sadly, we’ll never know.

Given the practical world we live in, this film raises an extremely valid point. What’s more important… to become a good person or a successful one? Since most adults would choose the latter, considering it to be the need of the hour, it’s the children, who end up bearing the brunt of that decision. Raj Zutshi stands out and so do the two children. The film tries too hard to hold you emotionally. If only the makers took it easy, this one could have been a winner.

Both Sengupta and Zutshi are given so few reflective moments that it is a pity : these are actors who can do it, when given a chance. With some easy moments, this film could have been easier to watch, but not when there is no break from loud background music, loud melodrama, and loud dialogues. Even the children, who all try hard to be as natural as possible, are weighed down under all the preachiness.
