The squad, primarily comprised of sidekicks to older, more famous heroes, was created by (at least in team form) by Bob Haney, George Kashdan and Bruno Premiani and normally features the likes of Robin, Raven, Aqualad and Kid Flash, among others.
Ana Nogueira, who is already at work on the Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow script that will bring Kora Zor-El (played by House Of The Dragon‘s Milly Alcock) back to cinemas, will write the screenplay.
The Hollywood Reporter‘s story on the new development naturally had no details on the potential plot, but it’ll surely see the team pursuing their vigilante justice. Will it be as funny or self-referential as Teen Titans Go!? We’d have to say we doubt it given the doomier tome of the live-action TV take in Titans, but hopefully it’ll still be entertaining.
No word yet on when it’ll be on screens as the script has yet to be written. The first film to properly emerge from James Gunn’s DC Studios will be his own Superman, due out on 11 July next year.
