Sarvesh Mewaras direction lacks fire. A rescue operation which neither draws applause from the audience nor makes them moist-eyed stands bleak chances of creating an impact. On the whole, Tejas is a dull show as it lacks the fire of a thriller, the warmth of a rescue mission and the patriotic flavour. It will entail losses.

If you are a die-hard Kangana fan, you will most definitely watch the film despite any or all warnings being given to you. However, if you are not, it is best not to be on-board on this ride. And if you are an airforce pilot or officer, it is best to steer clear of the film to not boil your blood. Or maybe, if you have not laughed in many days, you can watch it.

Its more ludicrous than anything else, and papers over the couple of things that the film works at making the point, even if it is in the most obvious manner, about how women are as good as men, if not better; and of course, its leading lady, whose acting abilities shine through even in the weakest scenes.

The thriller draws inspiration from the milestone decision of 2016 when the Indian Air Force welcomed women into combat positions.Tejas may appeal to fans of patriotic movies and defence dramas. But a better story and a tighter screenplay would have made the movie more impactful.

But try as hard as it may, Tejas comes a complete cropper – it is a dead-on-arrival cinematic consignment that does no justice at all to the nation, the Air Force or the medium. It is an insufferably bland thriller that believes that peddling patriotism can help it paper over its pockmarks.Logic is lost in the deafening din of the combat aircraft. Tejas is a film that flies into rough weather from the word go and never manages to find a way out of it. An air combat thriller has never been so frustratingly airy-fairy.

Kangana Ranaut gives her all to the character and it pays very well. Not at all an easy role to play but this powerhouse of talent makes sure to carry the entire movie on her able shoulders with ease. Shes magnanimous in action sequences, and theres not a single flaw about her when it comes to showing her rage or even being vulnerable. Tejas is more than being just another feather to the memorable hat of the actor.Despite the performances, the silver lining is too thin to ignore the dark clouds that loom over Tejas which doesnt allow the film to soar high.

The film offers a glimpse into Tejas’ motivations for becoming an Air Force pilot. However, the portrayal of her journey seems to be lacking in certain aspects, leaving the audience yearning for a more comprehensive exploration of her character’s development, aggression and emotional landscape.

As a jazzed up version of a female soldiers fight to prove her might, Tejas scores high mark. Incredibly, Tejas faces no gender discrimination as a female pilot. Flying so high that she doesnt seem to encounter any obstacles in her pursuit of heroism, Tejas Gill is the nationalist equivalent of a speciality surgeon. Tejas claims to think of country before her own life. But what we see most of the time is a Poo (from K3G) in uniform. Her own favorite and bestfriend to herself , Tejas doesnt need anyone, except maybe an audience.
