The Batman is the coolest, most badass superhero film you would have seen in a long time. It doesnt even feel like a superhero film and that is what makes it so damn good! Dont miss this at any cost.

Reeves conveys his vision through Gotham Citys gloomy atmospherics that play a vital role in making the movie-watching experience quite immersive. From the very beginning, The Batman remains a deeply engrossing, gritty thriller that it sets out to be. While comparisons with Christopher Nolans legacy of The Dark Knight Series are inevitable, they’re also unfair. This is a standalone film that packs in all the ingredients for a delectably dark mindbender featuring the caped crusader, who is more human than ever.

In the end, it is Robert Pattinsons haunted eyes that ensure that the film isnt a plodding mess. Pattinson is great for the part, and the foundation for a second (more adventurous?) outing has been laid with a late special appearance by Barry Keoghan. Thats what cinemas need: another billion-dollar franchise that reinterprets an IP without going full nutty.

However, as the Riddler tells the Batman, all that fancy stuff aside: €œYou are not as smart as I thought you were.€

Coming to the story, script, and narration, this is one of the first Batman films that has stayed so true to the comic. This is absolutely one of the most €œgrounded€ Batman movies in the 80-year-long history of the superhero series. Yes, that might be a tall claim, again, but the direction, background score, cinematography, and Pattinsons portrayal of Batman, all of it together make it a must-watch and is surely going to be a fan favourite.

Matt Reevess The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, is the latest Hollywood production to repackage a deeply familiar story as a sensory experience. The films mesmerising strangeness, technical achievements and grungy visual design communicate the themes of moral ambiguity and the porous line between justice and vengeance far more powerfully than the convoluted plotting and pedestrian dialogue.
