. The drama is somewhat interesting but because it revolves around three ladies, its appeal among the Hindi film-going audience is limited. Also, the proceedings tend to get confusing at times. The film is boring in parts. On the whole, The Marvels is an unexciting fare for the Hindi film-going audience.

On paper, this seems like an intriguing story device, not to mention the welcome prospect of seeing an all-woman Marvel team save the world. On screen, this is used to no particular effect or laughs or mystery, with Vellani forever caught in an awe-struck teenager expression, Parris making no impression and Larson seeming jaded.

The Marvels is, very simply, a muddled effort that should really have been better than it is but it manages to stand up as this refreshingly goofy and enjoyable superhero romp. Oh, and there is also a Bollywood style duet and dance number that is just electric.
A Marvel film has rarely been this vibrant!

While the plot might give you the feeling of any other superhero movie, what makes it different is the treatment and the sheer dynamics between the three lead characters. Undoubtedly some logics and twists are ridiculous, but they are presented in such a likeable way, that the trio will make a special place in your heart. With a crisp runtime of 1 hour and 45 minutes, The Marvels takes you on an unapologetic entertaining ride.

The action sequences and the VFX are sleek and enjoyable. Mohan Kapur, Zenobia Shroff, Saagar Shaikh have some of the funniest scenes in the film, along with Nick Fury [Samuel L. Jackson]. In fact, the cats are actually the real heroes of the film. The Marvels will entertain till you watch it, but dont expect it to stay with you like previous films in the MCU, because it doesnt.

The Marvels biggest superpower is the VFX. The film features some epic switches and fight sequences in the first half that will leave you gasping for breath and even hooting. Unfortunately, like She-Hulk, Loki season 2 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, The Marvels also faces the issue of a weak villain. Although Zawe Ashton delivers what is asked from her, the writing flaw becomes evident in the climax. Despite the flaws, The Marvels is a fun film to watch that brings back the old school MCU. Watch the film for a good popcorn entertainer.

All said and done, this needed more attention, more love, and less drama. Is Marvel dead? Nope. Will this film resurrect the MCU? Nope. Is it a lazy-evening, time-killing, nothing-to-do watch? Yes.
