Story: The Platform 2 starts as we meet Zamiatin (Keuchkerian) and Perempuan (Smit) who have been placed on level 24 of the platform. They must learn the law to survive and make the system stronger for everyone. However, they realise that people below don’t follow the rules.

The pair survive their first level, but their second level is much lower, and they don’t receive their food. However, the time spent there becomes more difficult and the tests become more destructive as they learn the truth about laws put in place.

The Platform 2 is a horror thriller continuing the adventures in the iconic experimental complex. We get to see new people involved as the law of the complex has taken over. However, it leads to a much more disturbing series of events.

This movie takes us back to where we know the disturbing reality of the world. However, it lacks the punch the original bought and felt more like a cash-in to create more story without bringing enough substance to the creation. Although, it does keep the idea how testing human nature alive, showing the very worst that comes to life. There are a few shock moments, but it never feels as connected in the frenzy.

The Platform 2 is available on Netflix now.

Final Thoughts –The Platform 2 lacks the impact of the original.
