Like the previous films in this enduring franchise Toy Story 4 is crammed with gorgeous, thrilling adventure, and valuable life lessons tucked away discreetly. But whats truly admirable is the absence of cynicism. Even in its fourth outing, never once does it feel like a cash-grab sequel; like it was made by profit-hungry executives focused on milking a successful brand. Toy Story 4 is all heart. It reaffirms ones faith in the humanity of these plastic playthings. Its funny and emotional; therell be laughs, and a lump in your throat.Im going with four out of five. Dont miss it.

What really makes Toy Story 4 special is its strong emotional fabric woven into a riveting narrative. Dialogues are laced with high emotional impact and are delivered effectively in familiar voices. This brilliantly captures the films core mission to humanise the bond between a child and a toy. Overall, this instalment of Toy Story succeeds in achieving a lot more than just laughs. It manages to strike a universal chord with its audience, by posing deep and meaningful questions like the purpose of our existence. And it does all of this in a wholesome entertaining way with enough comedy and action to make it a fun ride for children of all ages.Even in its fourth instalment, Toy Story not only remains highly relevant, but also elevates the franchise to newer highs of cinematic excellence.

The entire film is constructed around the final 10 minutes whose poetry and melancholic beauty is just overwhelming. In most films, such a moment is achieved with bleak atmospheres, but in Toy Story 4, it is peaceful. You let the moment break you, take you back to where it all began, and comfort you with the fact that it is all over and it is okay to let go. It is touching, emotionally satisfying filmmaking, and a very elegant goodbye to a cinematic universe that has been a big part of 25 years of our lives.

The film is as much about Gabbys search for €œlove€, by a child, as Bo Peeps determination for €œindependence€, irrespective of one. While clearly this takes Toy Story into a dimension it has never explored before, when it is as much the toys who grow up as their owners, the fact that its Gabbys story that grabs us reiterates something else: that what made Toy Story special was how it took us all back to our childhoods.Perhaps the only ones who need to let go €” one of the inevitabilities of growing up €” are the films creators. At the start, Bo Peep tells Woody, €œIts time for the next kid.€ Indeed, its time for a new film.
