On the whole, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is a super-blockbuster. Theres just no stopping the film at the ticket windows. The film also has tremendous repeat value because of the content and the music.

After the Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luv Ranjan ticks all the right boxes again with Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The exotic locations and chartbuster music add great value to the film. Special mention to the superb climax, which will leave a huge smile on your face while exiting the cinema hall.

I suppose if TJMM was silly and fun, it would still have been fine. Im always in the market for silly. But this kind of movie has no business being so boring, and thats its biggest sin.I love you, says the teary-eyed guy to the teary-eyed gal, but I love my family more, and you come after Dadiji, Mummyji, Daddyji, Sisterji, Nieceji. If there was a family pet, I guess the latter would have been on that list too.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is a film which leaves you with a smile as you exit the theatres. It is highly relatable despite its flaws. Luv Ranjan has made an entertainer that is suited for the youth and families in the same breath. 3.5 stars for Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar.

Ranbir Kapoor is most beautiful when he essays broken characters. His silence speaks volumes. He enters a new territory here, the one Kartik Aaryan has mastered over the years. He adapts well to frothy romance, excessive talking and constant monologues. This is perhaps the most he has spoken in a film till date and the way it alters his personality is interesting to watch. He looks great with Shraddha, but the chemistry needs work. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has its humour and heart in place. Character building misses the mark, given the duration.
