Bollywood thrillers take a safe and predictable route – there are a few exceptions of course. You are introduced to half a dozen characters, who keep looking into the camera with twitched lips. Just when you stop caring, one of them confesses his crime.A weird theory is sufficed to back it up and then five minutes before the climax somebody else comes up with an even weirder theory. In between, a couple of item numbers do the tricks to keep the B-grade tag afloat.

The films tight and gripping first half sets the mood and pace of the film. The film starts sliding down in the second half (specifically in the last 20 minutes) of the otherwise decent film. The films mystery remains intact and intriguing till the nail biting revelation. The revelation will keep the audiences guessing about the ultimate mastermind behind all the murders till the end. On the whole, WAJAH TUM HO is a decent whodunit thriller with good amount of oomph, masala and entertainment value.

On the surface level, live murders on national TV followed by a manhunt sounds like an intriguing plot. But minutes into the movie, intrigue gives way to intimate scenes, cringe-worthy dialogue and highly predictable twists. At one point in the second half, you realize that a whole chunk from the first half was unnecessary; hacking is explained in a powerpoint presentation; several references are made to how a woman who sleeps with her boyfriend should not complain about rape and the big reveal at the end is devoid of logic. Another gripe: the shocking English pronunciation of all the actors. A speech coach would have been a good investment.

In the middle of a courtroom, Siya rubbishes the case against her client, calling out to its lack of logic, pretty much summing up this bizarre movie. The onion-like plot, that has multiple farcical layers, only makes you weep at the fate of Hindi movies. The actors do a flimsy job, caring more about their presumably hefty pay cheques than their characters.

The leading TV channel may be Global Time Network, or really Global Times Network. One cant be sure. It may be about empowered women serving as legal heads of media houses, or about what Bollywood thinks empowered women dress like. One cant tell. It may be about honest policemen doing their jobs, or about cruel cops having their fun. One cant say if the film knows the difference.

For all this posturing and wisdom, and seeming righteousness, Deshmukh and his team are always a step behind the killer. And thats no surprise because the screenwriters dont know when to stop adding twists to the whodunit. What starts off as a potentially interesting thriller contorts into senselessness.

Wajah Tum Ho could be a fun watch with your friends for its terrible execution. Of course, during demonetization times you may not want to spend on this cash. Vishal Pandyas newest crime thriller, Wajah Tum Ho is absolutely funny. Whilst coming up with the script of the film, it seemed like they merely took a pen and paper and wrote their hearts out. Any logical point was clearly not considered.Vishal Pandyas newest crime thriller, Wajah Tum Ho is absolutely funny. Wajah Tum Ho is far far better than Hate Story 2 and 3. Though it is most definitely not the edge of your seat suspense thriller, it is not outrageously bad either. In India where we celebrate one time watch movies, Wajah Tum Ho can easily be your weekend indulgence. But if you are an ardent worshipper of logical plots, and near flawless films, stick to your sorts.
